ASG220 wit memory problems - upgrade to 8.x suggested?

hello,
we have an asg220 with ver 7.504, the ram is always about at 70%-80% used and CPU goes up frequently.
We would like to upgrade to 8.102,  this version require more ram?
Is it suggested? Better to upgrade only to 7.510?

    ASL is based on linux.  90%+ usage is fine as long as swap usage is less than 10%.  First of definitely install the latest 7.5x series of updates.  

    If your 220 has at least 1 gig of ram you may be able to head to 8.x.  how much ram and which features are you using and how many users?

    If you have a 220 v1, then you're hardware limited to 512mb RAM.  If you have a v2, then it may have come with only 512mb, but a RAM upgrade kit is available to upgrade to 1GB (see your reseller for details).  v3 and v4 come with 1GB already installed.  Currently, 1GB is the maximum supported memory configuration in a 220 and will allow you to upgrade to the most recent versions of Astaro.
