HA upgrade to v8

Hi,
according to https://support.astaro.com/support/index.php/Upgrading_to_Version_8 there are 3 ways to upgrade an cluster.
But every proposals brakes the service(=downtime)
To minimize downtime, I'm looking into other options.

However:

A question came up here in the maual. They are talking about:
Disconnect the old master from the network, restart him and break down the HA and the make the update to the v8(please ensure that update is already on the system). 

Which file do the exactly mean?

u2d-sys-8.102.tgz.gpg ? or ?
if you press on the tab 'upgrade to v8' Which file will be loaded? If you press cancel, an error message appears: can't save iso image.
Any tipps?

    Do you have an ASG Appliance or do you use the Software version?
    With 7.510 its possible to upgrade HA/Cluster Appliances to version 8.

    No you don't need an u2d* packages, an ISO will be downloaded to perform
    the upgrade process for ASG Appliances. For Software version there is no
    automated upgrade process available.

    To expand on what ulrich reports, for software, we just can't 100% guarantee the hardware platform being used as compatible with the next version. While unlikely and rare, it would be very bad if the upgrade was done and the new hardware wouldnt work. Hence for software, installations "usually" upgrade the "slave", verify it all works, then do the master and recreate the cluster. (such is the small price for having unlimited hardware upgrades available with no restrictions).

    For hardware, the downtime is almost non-existent. There will be a fast failover where the slave takes over, and a quick handoff back to the master when its done, but not a big outage by any means. As with any major-version upgrade, a small amount of downtime will be needed simply due to mechanics.

    Sorry forgot to mention:
    ASG 320 HA Active/passive mode v 7.510

    Simply keep in mind. 
    Customers, which do have  a cluster or a HA setup, don't want any downtime. That the reason why they buy more than one box.


    Perhaps, I do have simply a problem to understand the manual.
    However, according to the manual:

    that means switch master to slave = no downtime, but how do you make the update to the latest v8 version. If you connect the old master you do have an ip address conflict. You can of course change WAN/LAN ip of old master Astaro. This is fun when the ASG is located in a different location/country.

    If it is possible to load the v8 upgrade ISO (or what ever there is loaded after pressing upgrade v8) you don't need to change any setup.

    The manual described the upgrade process for 7.509 -> 8.000.
    With 7.510 the upgrade process is now fully HA/Cluster capable,
    you dont have to unplug any nodes.

    Start the upgrade process via WebAdmin, Master will start the upgrade process
    while Slave is takeing over. Any configuration changes at that point will be lost.
    After the old Master successfully upgraded, the Slave will start the upgrade process too.

    The downtime should only be a few seconds.
