Hello all-
I have an older ASG120 that's been quietly plugging along since 2007. It has never been upgraded and has never had a route to the internet, so it's still running v7.200. The license expired in 2007, but I just changed it over to the new license model, so I've got Standard Support until 2012.
When I tried installing the new license on it, it threw me out of Webadmin, and when I tried getting back in, it said, "please wait, connecting to the backend...". When I rebooted it, it showed a new license owner (me), but nothing else was updated, so it thinks its license died years ago.
Up2Date says its last check for an upgrade was "never".
I added routes for it to hit all of the v7up2date sites, download.astaro.com, and ftp.astaro.com. DNS works just fine.
Long story short, how do I get it upgraded to at least 7.5, so it'll understand the new license?
I know I could use a USB CDROM drive with a 7.5 CD, but wouldn't that erase all of its settings?
As a side question to the above topic, how do you add a default route to an ASG? The above firewall is between office A and office B. The "internal" interface is in office A, and the "external" interface is in office B. The ASG's route to the internet is back through office A, since office B is a dead end. Don't ask me why, that's what my predecessor did. I want all of the traffic that is to a subnet not directly connected the firewall to go back into Office A's network.
Thanks in advance
Yappi
