7.510 >> 8.102 Heads Up

Hi,

Getting ready to do this upgrade.

Got 2 virtual machines one running v7.510 for a few years and a newish virtual v8.102 install.

As I understand it I can take the backup from the V7 and import it into the V8 one. The V8 one will then become (in terms of IP and Name) identical to the V7 one with all config imported.

When I went from 6 >> 7 there were some things missed out which would not import correctly. Are there any such problems with 7 >> 8

    I have not seen a problem with anything that would not import... the reason there was an issue with V6 to V7 upgrades was that there were major, major changes in how many things operated, in addition to using an entirely new configuration storage method.  V7 and V8 are quite similar in many regards.
