Dell PowerEdge 2650 Server Installation

Has anyone tried installing the home edition on a Dell PowerEdge 2650 Server or a Dell PowerEdge 1850?
I have found some refurbished units relatively cheap and was thinking about replacing my Frankensteined box with one of them.

    I ended up purchasing a poweredge 750 to install my ASG on. Unfortunately I seem to have ran into a snag. I am booting from the CD without issue but after a few minutes the install hangs and returns a page full of errors and a kernal panic.

    The server uses a SCSI hard drive.

    I would appreciate any suggestions, this is the first time I have attempted an install on a server of this type. I have had no problems with other installs on a tower style server. I also went into the bios and turned on the OS install option.
