Home License Question

Hi,

I currently have a couple of P4 pc setup at home running in Active/Passive mode on a home license.

As I have quite a fast broadband, I was thinking of configuring them to run as an active/active cluster instead to spread the load. The option appears to be there to do this.

Before I go ahead and do this, is it allowed on the home license?? If it is permitted, how does if affect the home license as I understand that it halves the normal commercial license?

As long as it is configurable, you're allowed to use it with the home license as long as you are not using for business purposes. You'll still be restricted to 50 connected devices based on IP.

Thanks for that. What is the preferred setup for HA??

Am I likely to see much more throughput than the current active/passive setup??

Does running it it in active/active mode mean that I will need to renew the home license more often even though is says it never expires in the my astaro portal?? I'm sure the installed license has specified dates when it will expire, and my guess is this will half if I switch to active/active??
