hi, i am new at this! is it possble, to have all the security features runnig in astaro home addition, but use the DhCP, in your router, instead of astaro,thanks [:S]
guess what? your "hardware firewall" is nothing more than software running inside a little box. Also that "firewall" isn't a firewall..it's only nat. If you want a true firewall put the astaro in front of everything. turn off the "firewall" in the router and use it as a switch(aka don't use the wan port). Let the astaro handle dhcp as well...you'll get real security not the false sense that NAT provides.
