V7 --> V8 with Wireless-Config?

V7.509 should be able to upgrade my Appliance from 7.509 to 8.100.
WLAN is available in 8.100.

But when I try to upgrade my ASG "in Place" the Upgrade-Tab in Webadmin shows up the old error-Message: You are unable to upgrade... because of configured WLAN?

anyone any Ideas?

p.s. The "reinstall from CD an reimport config-file" is the wrong idea, the unit is located a 2-days trip from here....

    Hi Thilo,

    i asked the Astaro Support. The solution is the following:
    1. Order a ASG Testkey by open a ticket without WLAN-Security
    2. Create a backup file of your ASG config
    3. Deactivate the complete WLAN functionality
    4. Wait a minute
    5. Go to Up2Date --> Upgrade V8 and push the button (the ASG will download a 400MB file from the Astaro Servers)
    6. After the upgrade has been finished your ASG is on Version 8.003
    7. Download the up2date file for 8.1 and implement this to your ASG
    8. Install the original ASG license (including WLAN)
    9. Active Wireless-Security and reconfigure the "allowed interfaces" (see Global Settings).
    10. Done!

    It takes about 1 hour to do this.

    If have tested it with our ASG220 today and it works.

    8.100 will be GA released in ~two weeks.
    Then we will release 7.510 which will introduce the upgrade directly to 8.100 and remove the restriction for the wireless licenses.
