I've had this astaro hardware for 2 years and never used it. I'm just now trying to set it up for the first time, and man, what a chore. Hoping someone can help. i've read that the home edition licenses don't work on v7 but do for v8. on v7, i definitely cant use the license file downloaded from my.astaro site.
1) i just downloaded a new license file for the home edition. It didn't work on my astaro 110/120 that is running some version of v7. invalid license file error.
2) tried to make a usb thumbstick smartinstall using instructions on the forum, and apparently I can't update it that way either. you need the 'special astaro usb stick' ?
since the astaro 110/120 doesn't have a CD ROM, I can't update using a burned image. I can't seem to find any instructions on manually updating it from a usb stick using the CLI.
Do I have any remaining options?
How can I get this 110/120 unit updated to v8 so my home license will work?
