License Issue External Subnet in Scope

Hi,

Last week I imported an Astaro Virtual Appliance in my VMware environment.
I applied my license for personal use that allows me to protect a max. of 50 IP's

Yesterday I got a warning message that I've exceeded my license with 110%

When i look into the license screen I notice that not only my internal lan (10.3.2.0/24 with 8 servers) are in scope of my license, but also adresses in the same subnet of my WAN connection are in scope of my license.

Because my WAN connection has a /25 subnet (with only 2 adresses for me to use) there are more then 50 IP's that astaro puts into scope of my license.

Is this how astaro use to work or is there something wrong with my config ?

    Astaro counts ip adresses on all interfaces except the one's with a default gateway. So the question is, does you WAN interface have a default gateway configured?

    I have 2 WAN network adapters, 1 with a default gateway and 1 without a gateway.

    Just configured the same gateway for the 2nd WAN adapter and enabled uplink balancing. I will see in 7 days if my Active IP's are flushed from the licensing.

    Hi, luppie, and welcome to the User BB!

    I don't work for Astaro - I'm just a reseller, so I'm far from being the final authority on Astaro licensing.  It's unusual that a home user would be running eight servers with two WAN connections, so I just wanted to make sure everyone understands that the home-use license is not for business use even if the business is being run out of the home.

    I know of at least one business where an Astaro admin set up a home-use Astaro to provide the president with a site-to-site connection to an Astaro at work, but even that pushes the envelope.  I expect that no one will do this anymore since RED is so inexpensive and so much easier to manage than a remote Astaro.
