Upgrade Version 8

I purchased Astaro Version 7 for 2 years license few months ago and now plan to upgrade to version 8 do i need to pay additional to use the new version and upgrade my license ?

  • If you have a Astaro License with Subscriptions (Network, Web, Mail, Wireless, or WAF Security) that are still valid, there are no costs involved for upgrading to Version 8.  If you just bought the license, it is likely using the "new" licensing model, so that same license will work fine on a Version 8 installation without any changes.  If, somehow, you have a "classic" license (possible if you purchased back before May), it can be converted, for no cost, to a "new" license, as long as the subscription(s) purchased have not expired.

    Ask you reseller for help if you think you need more information about your license, they should be able to help.
