Using existing Hardware appliance Licence to activate software appliance

We have an ASG 110/120.  I have downloaded and setup another box as a dedicated software security appliance.  I would like to know if it is possible to use our existing license currently installed on our hardware ASG110/120 on the software appliance I downloaded and installed?  Is it possible or do I have to purchase an additional license.  Note:  I will be using both appliances at the same time. I will connect both using site-to-ste vpn.

    Hi, each device in use needs a separate license. A non-appliance needs a software license.

    You might want to look at the RED devices if it's mainly to setup a VPN.

    You must license each device separately.  Contact your reseller for pricing.  Also, as Barry said, if VPN connectivity is all you need, consider the RED appliance as a low-cost method to connect the sites.
