I'm trying to setup a parent proxy configuration on my ASG v8.003 Home Use Edition box to grab new pattern/firmware updates, but at the moment I cannot get it to work. Here is the most recent entry I captured from the Up2Date log file:

If it helps at all the proxy I was hoping to setup requires authentication, the details for which I'm sure I've entered correctly.
I suspect that 'code 500' refers to the HTTP 500 error [internal server error], but I thought I would post it here in case anyone can correct me or suggest anything else. Also, I have a couple of other questions about the parent proxy option in ASG:
- Can the proxy be any web-based HTTP proxy (e.g. like that provided by HideIPVPN.com) or does it have to have been built/configured specifically for Astaro updates?
- Does this require any extra ports/services to be opened up in the Packet Filter, or does the proxy port number defined in the Parent Proxy configuration either bypass or take priority over the Packet Filter?
