Affordable SSD's

Just a heads up for those who have been interested is building new ASG boxes with SSD's but could not justify the price.

I have recently found two new SSD's that have enough capacity for a decent ASG install and are within the price range of HDD's.

They are as follows:

Kingston SSDNow S100 SS100S2;16G 2.5 16GB SATA II Internal Solid State Drive
&
Imation M-Class 27509 2.5; 32GB SATA II MLC Internal Solid State Drive

I just wanted to make everyone aware of my discovery and hope this helps.

    The tech requirements do state that the minimum is 20GB. I have properly installed on 16GB CF cards several times. The actual disk space used for an ASG v8.x install is only 2.5-3GB. The rest is left for logs, reports, quarantine, proxy and so on.

    P.S.

    And actually since my Thanksgiving dinner was delayed this year eclipse, I made my Pollo Picatta burro rosolato for Thanksgiving day.  Delicious! [;)]

    Good to know! Some monts ago I tried to install on a VM with 10gb (yes, it was 10 if I remember well) and the installation failed saying that 20 was the minimum [:)]

    It seems exquisite, but I bet an ASG 120 that if you try my Spaghetti alla Carbonara you'll forget your Pollo Picatta [H]

    P.S. An ASG 120 is cheaper for me to order than a plane ticket. [:)]
