V8 upgrade with Full Guard, but not using Wireless

I just updated to 7.508 on one of my ASGs that has Full Guard bundle and it will not let me do the V8 upgrade because it says it does not support Wireless function.. However we are not using it, so is there a way to do the upgrade or do we have to wait for the 8.1 release? If so, when is it slated to be released?

    Hi,

    This indeed is a known limitation, as we really wanted to err on the side of caution in potentially "denying" someone their use of wifi they might rely on. (Some customers would just turn it off, perform the upgrade, and expect to turn it back on again...)

    8.100 Beta currently has it, and this will be released at the end of this month. You will still be able to one-touch upgrade, as we'll update the landing version for that operation to 8.100 after its release.

    Sratson, if you really must, must go to V8 before the 8.100 release, you may want to ask your reseller for a short term temp license minus the Wireless Security (like 7 days, etc.)... after you apply that and do the upgrade, then you can reapply your regular license.  That's how I'd do it if any of my customers asked, but I've been recommending that they wait until 8.100 (or the inevitable 8.101) is released.
