HTTPS and 8.003 update

Hi,

Things have been going very well with my installation until todays update. I can no longer browse to an HTTPS site without having my browser proxy set to Astaro. My Astaro gateway uses transparent proxy with no scanning of HTTPS traffic.

Any ideas?

Hi,
welcome aboard.

You will need a packet filter rule to allow the https traffic out.

internal network -> any -> any -> allow

The http proxy will grab port 80 traffic only.

I have a packet filter rule that uses a built in service called 'Web Surfing' which includes HTTPS. This has been working great up until I loaded the 8.003 update. I have tried going in and re-applying my settings by clicking the apply button but it hasn't helped. I suppose I'll try restoring a backup.

Well, I fixed this issue by resetting to factory defaults and restoring my configuration.

That was it.... same settings but now it works. I guess that is all that maters.
