I had a spare Via Artigo A1000 who I wanted to use as a firewall. It is very small as you can se from this link: VIA ARTiGO Pico-ITX Builder Kit A1000 - VIA Technologies, Inc.
The problem is that it has only one LAN, and no pci slot. I overcome this by setting up an other pc temporary as a firewall with eth 0 to VLAN, and eth 1 to internal. And then made a VLAN to WAN and a VLAN as a LAN with same rules and masquerading as Internal. I then took a backup.
Then I installed astaro on my single LAN mini pc and restored the backup from the other machine. I use a small simple VLAN switch to separate the LAN and WAN.

This has solved a problem for me, and I hope that it would be useful for others too.
