Howto downgrade?

Hello.

I did the v8 update on our ASG 120 yesterday.
Now all of our homeworkers could not connect to VPN anymore. I think its because of the old IPSec Client Version.

How can I do the downgrade to V7 to an ASG Hardware without the Astaro Stick?

I´ll update the secure Clients next week but ´till then they have to work...

Hi Martin
you will have to do a fresh install from a ssi cd. Download the ssi version from the ftp site.
Hopefully you will have saved a config before installing 8.x

Yes, of course.. weekly Backup :-)

Ok:
Download -> burn CD -> USB CD-Rom -> automatic install

right?

Hi Martin,
I don't have an ASG box only home built ones so I am only talking theoretical process.

There should be an automatic backup on the ASG taken before your upgrade to v8.x

Hi Martin,
another user in Italian Forum experienced issues in V8 with IPSEC VPN. It seems that some encryption configuration alghoritms with SHA2 does not work. You can find some info (in italian) here:

Perhaps if you change the encryption type you can connect successfully! [:)]

He said that the problem occurs only with sha2 256 and sha2 512. No issues with sha1 and sha2 384.

Did you use one of sha2-256 or 512?
