Web Admin not opening up

Hi All,

Trying to set up a v8 box.  I have 2 gig nics in my Dell 4500.  One will be set as 'outside' and one will be set as 'inside'.  I made the second one the admin interface and the installer verified that I had a link on that card.  Install goes off with out a hitch and when the box comes back up, I cannot get into the web admin.  I left the ip default on Astaro of 192.168.2.100/255.255.255.0.  My machine is set to 192.168.2.101/255.255.255.0.  I have tried 3 different cables, 2 different switches between the boxes, different computers, IE, Firefox, Chrome......  All I get is 'Page cannot be displayed'  Any ideas anyone?

Thanks for your time!

  • Maybe it's the install CD.  Try burning a new CD at 4x or slower.

  • Probably not the CD itself at all (sounds like it installs OK); let me hazard a guess;  is that Dell equipped with Intel onboard NICs, or a card?  Try the Version 8.100 Beta (8.055) install ISO; it includes updated Intel drivers.

Only other idea; try directly connecing a PC to each interface (in turn) ...
