get up2dates from ACC failing for over a month now

So does anyone know when the supposed fix to the issue of ASG's not able to get up2dates from the ACC is going to be resolved?  I have patterns 20323 running on my remote ASG's and no way to force them to pull new updates.
The bug seems to be that once you add a timed schedule event in the ACC to tell the devices when to update, it blocks the ability to run the updates directly from the asg to astaro.  I have a case opened with Astaro and they said it was to be fixed in 7.508 which was supposed to be released the first week of October.

  • 7.508 is in "soft-release" right now -- while it's not recommended that you load a soft-release version of an up2date in a production environment, you may want to try it on one of the units that's having trouble, and see if it fixes it.

In my experience, they often fix other bugs that aren't always listed in the public bugfix list, so it may be worth a try.

  • I have this issue in all 10 of my devices.  I hope this release happens soon.  Does anyone know a workaround for this short of having to download/upload and apply via the manual up2date package upload function?  I am wary of that function especially for remote sites.
