License for Wireless Security in Home User license?

I was wondering, if the Home User license would be extended with the Wireless Security license that is being sold as of sept 27th.
I was just wondering if a Home (power)User (like myself) could benefit from the new wireless security additions, when buying an Astaro AP10... or isn't the Home User license to be extended with this product feature?
Same goes for the RED devices, but whatever real home user would use that one...?
I don't see the Wireless Security line anywhere in my licensing info on my Astaro v8.001

    An Astaro Reseller can sell them to you.


    I suppose any Astaro reseller wil be happy to sell you an Astaro AP. However, don´t execpt too much "big deal rabates " :-)

    Says I need appliance not home version. Basically I told the guy whatever I really do not care honestly.. might make my life easier to use them but I do not have to.. And I like Astaro's home product enough to buy the access points says something..

    Shocking state of affairs these days.. I cant even begin to describe how many people do not want my money LOL. Its not a joke either flat out people are like NEWP you cant have it and we do not want your money kkthx.

    Well anyway if Astaro is interested in selling them to me and what not please by all means let me know how to do it otherwise I will just go out and build my own access points.

    Well, I saw some posts saying wireless security would be included in the home license.  I installed 7.507 and sure enough it was there and I could enable it.  So, I ordered an AP30.  Waited almost 2 months to get it.  

    It arrived today and I plugged it in and my ASG wouldn't find it.  So I downloaded the quickstart guide and it said I needed 7.508.  Odd, I thought, why didn't Up2Date already download it?  So, I checked and it was posted on the public FTP site this afternoon.  Too recent for my Up2Date auto-download.  I downloaded it manually and it installed fine, and immediately disabled wireless security saying I didn't have a license.  

    If it hadn't been apparently "active" in 7.507 I'd have been OK with that.  But to wait until the day you deliver the new hardware and then release software that immediately makes it useless is kind of frustrating.  Not what I expected from Astaro after the support home users have had for so long.

    UPDATE: Looking through some other threads it seems there are issues with licensing in 7.508.  So, keeping my fingers crossed that its something that can/will be fixed fairly soon.  Still not sure why my AP30 wasn't recognized by the ASG in the first place.  Did confirm it (the AP) picked up a DHCP address and I can ping it.  So its "alive" at least.
