Using .adf to Complete Installation - Problem

Installed v8.0 and it went well...

However i did a basic install and loaded my backup file, now I cant directly access webadmin by hooking up laptop to nic card , tried changing settings on laptop to ip address of backup file (not the default 192.168.2.100 )

Could it be that since the backup was from different hardware, the hardware profile has changed and its looking for the 2 nic cards on the old machine , not on the new one??

    Yes, the new machine must have equal-or-more interfaces.  One user reported trying to go from an 8-port to a 4-port machine as he had only 4 ports in use.  Unfortunately, it was eth0, eth1, eth2, eth7 on the original unit, so the attempt seemed to work but there were problems.  He had to change eth7 to eth3 on the original unit, then make a new backup; restoring that on the new unit worked perfectly.
