Any way to be notified if system power fails ?

Hello guys,

I guess God is pissed at NYC. We actually lost power for hours due to a tornado!!
I saw a pig flying...and my house went into the air... almost kidding.

My astaro box 525 system went dead and down w/o power. 
Is there any way to be notified or must I have an APC backup? 

I actually never thought about this but I need a backup plan now.

I definitely believe in global warming!

    You need an APC UPS to be notified of a power outage and still have it running.

    If you have it set to auto-boot after power loss you can get a notification of "System Restarted" when power is back up.

    Note the UPS must be connected to the firewall with a USB port, not serial.

    I have found another problem. When power was restored my 525 box remained off. It did not power up and the BIOS power features suck badly. 

    Is there anyone with a 525 box that can get me to configure the BIOS to power on automatically? Basically, a UPS is now required but a reboot could send me down potentially. I wish it were Dell 525 [:(]
