AP 10 and AP 30 questions

Greetings,

I'm interested in purchasing one or possibly more AP 30 access points. I would like to know how many I can use with my "Silver" support License. The data sheet available on your site show the limits on the number of access points for the different model security appliances that are sold but not for independent software installations.

Are these access points compliant with the 802.11N published specifications or with a prior "draft"?

The datasheet says the uplink port operates at 100Megabits; how then do the access points support data rates up to 150Mbps or 300Mbps?

Hi,
I believe those limits on the hardware appliances are recommendations based on their performance levels.

It is 802.11n.

The APs could theoretically have traffic between wireless machines at over 100mbps, but keep in mind that WiFi is half-duplex so you're never going to actually see those speeds anyways.

I’m holding off on ordering a new access point until wireless support is added in version 8. I’ve noticed there are a variety of part numbers for the AP 30 and I wonder if there are any differences. Here are part numbers I’ve come across:

AAP00300APUS
AAP00300APUS-PM
AAP00300APUS-PR
AAP00300APNP
AAP00300APNP-PM
AAP00300APNP-PR

I’d also like to find out if the AP 10 or AP 30 support 5GHz channels. The data sheet only mentions 2.4GHz.

Also, the AP 30 specs say 3 antennas with support for 8 SSIDs, but I'm assuming there is only one radio. Does this mean all the SSID's will operate on the same channel? If they're on the same channel then creating separate networks for N devices and G devices wouldn't yield better throughput unless there were physically separate access points?
