Performance of Atom/i3/i5 ?

Anyone tested the troughput of thoses cpus?

I am moving to a 50Mbps connection, which my current setup won't support.

Any experiance which such Processor at such speed?

This is a home setup, so few users. But Heavy Bittorrent, VPN traffic.

One advantage of i5 over i3 is it support a new AES instruction set (for SSL) feature. Called: AES-IN, but i'm not sure if current kernel will support that

I am moving from a Intel Q6600 with Windows 2008 R2 && Hyper-V.

There IS a difference, various ping avg time decreased by about 3ms (for example, pinging through my Site2Site VPN), and the Max ping is also recuded (used to have some spike, like 20-30ms above AVG, possibly due to Hyper-V doing some other stuff).

Troughput improved a lot, with the same configuration, I was max out at around 28Mbps on Hyper-V, now I can do 52Mbps on bare metal, with IDS and AV on.

Proxy seem a bit faster, but the great improvement will come with local caching.
