mini ITX hardware question

I am running V8 at home on the Intel D510MO board.  It runs very well with 2GB.  The only thing it won't do well is accounting under the reporting functions.  This seems to tax the processor.

Version 7.5 was only reporting a single core.  Now, version 8 reports both cores.  It is a nice fanless setup.

I would recommend it for home or very small office use.

YEAH !!!! thx Drake3 !!! i will go on this !!!!! When you say it won't do well on acounting under reporting ???? what does it mean ? it's for home use i never used AStaro beofre [:D] but a lot of person told me it's an excelent Produt ... 

i saw on live demo the accounting option what it does exactly ?

Can you send me by MP or directly on this topic the case you used ?

For me (Atom n270), the nightly reports work fine, but when I try to view the 'live' Accounting page, it takes a very long time to load or times out.
However, I have a LOT of traffic to account for [:)]

I run the Atom 330 with 2gb of RAM. At one stage I was using it with v8.0xx until I won an AP that only works with v7.5 at the moment.

Configuration update and reporting was slow, but worked okay for a home user.

The accounting feature will let you sort your users, network services, etc. by usage.  Compiling this information without an OLAP database just seems to tax the system too much and it will time out like BarryG says.

I don't really need it at home, just useful to see where traffic is going to and coming from.

I used the cheapest MiniITX case I could find:

I was not looking to build a totally fanless system because my home firewall is under a desk and noise was not an issue for me.  I was looking to build an inexpensive, power conserving unit that would run stable.  

I bought a Dell branded Intel 1000 server NIC with 2 ports from Ebay for $20.  This gives me three interfaces to configure. 

The unit is located in a "loft" type office which gets a lot of heat through the summer.  I think heat killed my last Astaro (AMD) machine in this room, but even with this fanless motherboard it has never locked up.  I checked the operational spec on the Intel website and the operating temperature for the D510MO board is pretty high.  It appears to me they were shooting for some embedded applications with this board so I have no worries running it in this higher temperature environment.

I'm running V8 in a Jetway NC92-330-LF board with a AD3RTLAN-G dautherboard.
The enclosure is from Emko the model EM-151, a very small case with power supply included.
It's not the cheapest build but it's very small.
