Backend connection failed after restore backup from 7.507 to 8.01

    Perhaps the NIC assignment has changed. Try a ping....

    Strange, but none of the nine interfaces that I use does not have an assigned IP address. In fact, the order of the interfaces was shifted by one position, but it's not a problem. I have written down the MAC addresses with the network card numbers, which was used in version 7

    It seems that the import file with the backup version 7 is not too much refined. Despite several re-installation and re-ASG V8 attempts to read the file I could not succeed. I was forced to restore the backup in ASG v7 at a virtual environment and rewrite configurations manually to Version 8.

    Hi,
    I think you missed a very important point.

    The sort order of NICs in V8 was changed, so when you restore a v7 configuration file everything will be assigned different NIC in most cases.

    There is a way to edit the ethernet order, but every time you do a fresh installation/re-build you will have to edit the file. Later this year there is supposed to be a v8 version that allows the NIC order to be changed on restore.

    I am waiting for this, even though I only have 2 NICs the order is revered with the lower performance NIC on the internal network.
