up2date from v7 to v8

are there any news about the up2date for the "Appliance Upgrade Option"?

    Yes, that's correct. Like from v6 to v7 you have to re-install non-astaro appliances to use the latest main-version 8.

    Announcement:

    "As in the past, for quality assurance and hardware compatibility reasons, it will not possible to one-touch upgrade non-ASG appliances (software installations on custom hardware) using this method."

    So waiting for that option is no necessary [;)]
