I am new to Astaro hardware appliances so v8 is the first major upgrade released since I purchased our ASG appliances. Does it typically take two to three months for the (major) appliance upgrade to be released? Thanks.

Yes; It does normally take a month or 2 for that kind of upgrade to be made ready and passed thru QA.

keep in mind, the up2date upgrade is for simplicity. You also have the option to reinstall using v8 media and restore config from backup.

The same with my office installation...waiting for the appliance upgrade from 7.507 to 8.x also.

You can always download or copy them off the box.
