Missing buttons and other problems V7.506 with IE

Hi,

Updated to V7.506 and now have missing buttons and problems downloading backup files using internet explorer. It works fine with Firefox. I found a thread in German and translated it which described the problem and the firefox workaround. Is this in the works to be fixed.

    Julio, I had seen that post, but I wonder if this isn't a different issue than the German poster thought - maybe it was just that he started with an empty cache...  

    Could you try again with IE?  Close all IE Windows, then before you open WebAdmin, delete IE's temporary files (cache), then open WebAdmin.  Do the items appear now?

    I've seen the same issues, as have some of my customers.  Clearing caches, etc. have proven ineffective.  In some cases, using Compatibility Mode in IE8 helps, but not in every part of Webadmin.  We've switched to Firefox temporarily while this gets worked out... I think I've seen a post somewhere that said Astaro was aware of the issue with 7.506.

    I too have seen this and explored several avenues (cache clearing, using a freshly built client computer etc). "Errors on this webpage ...", maybe a guide to the problem? Missing buttons, missing screens:- for instance Definitions>>Networks is blank as is Definitions>>Services.
    Some screens are incomplete Users>>Groups missing the drag and drop area and add user green plus sign. Is Astaro aware? that IE appears to be rejecting their code whereas FireFox works.

    I should have noted that my trick doesn't work unless you close all IE windows first, then open IE and clear the cache.  This has worked with IE7 and with IE8 in compatibility mode (thanks for the reminder, Bruce; I couldn't remember which way it was).

    I haven't had as many issues with IE8 on Win7 but I had many issues with IE7 on Vista.

    IE8 on XP seems to work as well but it is slow to load the exception list for some reason.

    As I know this is a known bug with IE7 (and IE8 running in compatiblity mode), will be fixed with next up2date (release unknown)

    Yes, I should have rephrased my statement to say when would astaro make the needed adjustments to make everything work seamlessly.
