CPU usage normally sits around 10-15%.
I see spikes to 100% CPU occasionally. This is what one looks like:

I have turned off intrusion prevention. I have the kids going through the web filter but I see these spikes even when they're all asleep and can find no correlation between these CPU spikes and heavier than normal usage. It seems to occur every two hours or so, but not with much regularity.
It's not inbound traffic in general. Here's me running bittorrent full-tilt:
