first where is WAP going to sit in the forum?
Today I got my WAP AP30 going. I built my backup system as an v7.506 because my v7.506 doesn't install on my test system and connected it into the v8.00 ASG.
The v7.506 ASG is setup with PF and MASQ rules.
Some parts of the WAP AP30 setup are a bit tricky, but eventually I got it go.
Under the existing Linksys WAP setup I could get 54 bothways as indicated by the laptop.
With the WAP AP30 I get 54 back to the AP (from the ASG WAP tab)and 48 to the laptop. The WAP AP 30 is about 1 metre lower than the Linksys box.
Interestingly the laptop was assigned a IPv6 address from the v8.000 ASG DHCP server and IPv4 from the v7.506 ASG DHCP server.

after a bit of coercion the laptop did finally get to 54mb bothways. Turns out it is a limited laptop b/g only unless I buy an adapter card for it. I will have to wait until my son gets up and tries out his lovely new mac pro.
