NOt sure V8 is totally stable

I jsut had my v8 install refuse to boot after a clean shutdown.  I then noticed a quick error upon booting my v8 cd..something about a address collision between two devices(it only gave a memory address).  The interesting part is the with v7.5x i do NOT see this error.  I have tried re-burning the cd..i have verified md5's so it's not a corrupted download.  I'm curious if this is another weird bug(along with the grub issue) that's just now cropping up.
