Booting and installing from usb removable device

Hi,

I am trying to write the 8.0 iso image to a usb flash drive and boot astaro from it. But the hardware doesn't boot from flash drive. It appears on boot menu but when I select it, it just boots from hdd. I have no usb cd-rom so I need some advice to install it.

So what ways should I use to install it without a cdrom?

If an Astaro sees a USB flash drive, it assumes that you are trying to retore a configuration backup, and will load the configuration stored there instead of the one stored on its hard drive. It will not attempt to boot from a USB memory stick.

If an Astaro sees a CD-ROM drive, it assumes that you want to reload the software.

Astaro offers the Smart Installer which emulates a CD-ROM, so you might want to consider buying that instead of a CD-ROM.
