Firewall Throughput

Hi,
How calculate the firewall throughput for handle internal workstations if i will purchase the new one hp server. Do you have a formula or other method will do it?

it's dynamic depending on hardware config, numbers of users and features of the firewall used...how many users and which server specifically(ala cpu, ram, hdd, nics..etc etc etc)
