Breaking cluster...issues?

Alright, so i have two asg 425's in a Hot-Standby (active-passive) cluster. Id like to break it and remove node 2.  

Are there any specific steps i should take to minimize any downtime or issues?

Any help or input is greatly appreciated.

    ok, got both the 220 and 425 to 7.503 (thats where the production 220 was), put the backup(unencrypted) onto my 8gb flash drive, plugged it in while system was off, powered back on and no go.  still all setup as it was before. 

    any thoughts?
