Breaking cluster...issues?

Alright, so i have two asg 425's in a Hot-Standby (active-passive) cluster. Id like to break it and remove node 2.  

Are there any specific steps i should take to minimize any downtime or issues?

Any help or input is greatly appreciated.

    essentially whats happenings is odd, i can login to webadmin no prob, everything looks good, i can rdp to my util box, systems are up and all svcs running i just cannot hit ANY web facing systems from the web. I can hit sites via the site-to-site too.
