[8.000] Bug with Home Lic and Customization when upgrading from beta

I installed the v8 beta when it was v7.902 and upgraded through out the beta periode until I know went from v7.951 to v8.000. I know customization was disabled for Home License sometime in the beta periode, but I had already uploaded an image for testing the logo customization. Now that the feature is locked for me and my home lic, I still have the picture, but I can't reset or change it. It also says Astaro v7 etc in the textfield.

I believe the image and text should be reset to standard Astaro, or at least have a reset button on the page so that both home users or paying users can get the default back.

My "test-logo" and the ASG v7 text would also show up on pages the webproxy blocks etc..

    yes, this is included in the 8.002 release. 
    But I think the fix is not exactly what you need(See Angelo's post): AFAIK we now reset all customizations when you change from a commercial (or trial) license to a home use license. This happens automatically on a license change. 
    I'm not sure, but I think we don't handle the case of a home use license already having customizations configured.

    You could try to upload your home user license again; perhaps the customizations are then reset.

    Well, the Confd has enough intelligence to detect when information stored in the storage (in this case, the license) is not actually changed by a user change request.  In this corner case, this is somehow too much intelligence: The Confd detects that you re-install the same license you already have installed, and shortcuts all the licensing code.

    I don't think that we need to change the code again, though, as this is only a transitional effect.  No additional ASGs can develop the same problem in the future.  Besides, maybe i can clean this up in the context of the (internal) licensing code refactoring for 8.100.

    As a workaround, you can go back to the Beta license (even though it is expired), then re-install the home use license.
