this SHOULD have happened for the home licenses, but obviously the process is not yet completed. If you should have a commercial license, you'll have to update it to the new on-demand license model that was introduced earlier this year.
I will also post final licensing details for home users in the main licensing forum, so check there during the next days. It will be in plenty of time before your Beta key expires.

It won't work since you won't have a valid license you could apply to v8 after the restore. The license in your backup file is a classic (aka: old) license, unless you've applied for a Home Use license after May, in which case you'd got a on demand (aka: new license) type file.
Best workaround at the moment: restore the backup, apply the beta license that is still valid for 14 or so days from the beta forum, wait for Astaro to convert all home user licenses.

I don't have the v8 beta license? I have a 100 user home license.
Only short term solution I see is to install from bare metal and reconfigure by hand. Use the 30 day license until Astaro gets around to converting the home license.
I installed v8 last night setup the Webadmin admin password and restored a v7.505 backup. After rebooting v8 will pass traffic to the internet but I can no longer login to Webadmin (incorrect password error). Same problem when trying SSH access?
