Version 8 with the latest Atom boards?

Has anyone tried Astaro's new version 8 (well, 7.9xx betas) with the latest Atom boards yet?  What about multicore (SMP)?  How's it working out?

    Hi eganders,

    SMP support is already in v7, so nothing new in v8 in this manner. What is new in v8 and interesting for Atom and other low-power CPUs as well is added support for CPU frequency scaling.

    Additionally, there are a lot more new drivers for modern NICs and ICH10 support.

    And don't forget added 64Bit CPU support, for taking full advantage of lots of memory.

    Mario - Is there a performance improvement running 64-bit in a 4Gb RAM environment?  Is there any reason not to run 64-bit?

    I think the Intel branded Atom boards max out at 4Gb RAM.
