UMTS/HSDPA in Astaro (ppp + pppconfig)

Hey Guys there,

I found now my Way to Astero and working for testing with the Free Edition till all will work fine. Now I have 2 Question. I`m using for going to internet a Mobiel Phone from Sony Ericsson which use the driver cdc-acm (USB) or maybe later a UMTS Card from huawei. But I can not load the Kernelmodules in the Version. As well it would be helpfull to get some better ppp suport in there or maybe I just don`t know how to do it.

For me it looks the kernel version dont have the support for this kind of stuff in there right ? Is there a way to make a dial connection for UMTS/HSDPA ?

I tried as well to make it with my Xperia X1 what gets normaly installed as RNDIS Network adapter, but this is as well not getting regoniced.

I`m using the lates Beta version because of the newer kernel.

    Hey Guys,

    thanks for the information. Yeah I spent yesterday again 4 hours on it and now I have a solution. I will run Ubuntu Server and as Virtual Machine Astaro. So Ubuntu will be dialing to the internet and Astaro will be Gateway / DNS /DHCP etc. :-)

    I wanted to make it in an easy way. Maybe when I will find some more time I will compile the new kernel for my needs, anyway I think more people could use it f.e. when they don't have other choose for internet :-)
