I have a few newbie Questions...
I am new to ASG and wanted to evaluate the product for personal use. I have first looked at ASG Essential, filled in the required info and requested a download. However, I have never performed the download. I subsequently learned that all the featured of ASG are included in the home version. I only downloaded the home user version and installed it. While installing I was asked to enter a license. Since I did not have one as I am under the impression that home user version is free..I did not enter one and so the system suggested that a 30 day license will be used instead.
Questions are: what will happen in 30 days? Did I installed the wrong version? Does the fact that I have also subscribed to the Essential version affects how the home user version is treated in respect to licensing?
I use Untangle now for my home network. Their home user product is not as feature rich as ASG appears to be. However their licensing policies appear to be more clearly defined than Astaro's. (maybe just to me)
Can anyone point me to the right post if this has been addressed before (I have already searched the forums and I did not find an answer), or can anyone clarify this for me?
