ASG Hardware Upgrading to v8

This may be a bit premature, and the wrong forum, but as the v8 beta has less then a month left to go I have to ask. [:)]

How is current(v7) ASG hardware stacking up against v8 requirements?

I'm looking to purchase a number of ASG 120 & 220 models for our corporate group and with v8 around the corner I don't want to jump until I'm reasonably assured that the hardware generation I purchase will be able to handle v8 for the foreseeable future.

    Andrew, your reseller should he helping you with this.  There are questions of volume and such, but, even with Web Security, I would expect a 120 to handle an office with 25 people.

    Operative word being 'should'. I won't go into specific reasons on a public forum but I'm currently switching vendors due to some concerns about my current one.

    Our new vendor does have "skin in the game" but is just starting out with Astaro so isn't as familiar with the product.

    So to provide some conclusion to this thread and lay it to rest I thought I'd let you folks know how things played out.

    I got initial approval for purchasing 3 ASG 120's and Network Security w/ one cold spare. Before I got a chance to order with our Vendor, I got a call from Chad Carter w/ Astaro USA. A 30min chat later, we got an offer that management couldn't refuse. [:)]

    I won't discuss particulars of the deal but kudos to Astaro for stepping up to the plate on this one and helping us get the product we wanted at a price that works for us. We ended up with Astaro 120's (dual units, HA config) in each of the three main offices, network security in all three, and web security in two.

    BAlfson, thanks for putting up with my questions on this thread. Your responses corrected some incorrect information I had from a previous vendor, and helped make this deal possible.
