We have two ASG220 that have been exposed to smoke and soot because of an office fire in near by premises. The ASG220 worked fine until they were sent away to be cleaned. And they still work fine except for the LCD display. A company that specializes in cleaning electronics did this job. When we got them back the display on both boxes were dead. We know that they have disassembled the boxes. Cleaned them, and put them back together again. And we know that the BIOS battery have been removed during this process. We have double checked that all connections were put back were they should be. We asked the company that cleaned the boxes if they generally know of any issues with LCD displays and the cleaning process. And they say that this is the first time they heard of this.
What puzzles us is that the displays on both boxes are dead. Could it be that BIOS have been reset because of the battery removal and some settings a wrong? Although, we have double checked the BIOS settings against a third brand new ASG220. Does anybody have any other suggestions?
