Migrate from ASG 320 appliance to Virtual

If you have 600 active users, then you probably don't have anything mis-configured.  I think you're right that you need more power.

You need at least an ASG 425, and maybe an ASG 525.  Both of those are less-expensive solutions for you than the 1000-IP software version of the Astaro.

Another possiblity, one that costs just a little more than a 425, would be to add another 320 to make an Active-Active Cluster.

In any case, this looks like a no-win situation if your management is unwilling to spend about twice as much per year on Astaro subscriptions as they now are spending.

I can access webadmin but as you can see in my attach I see 5 interfaces (there are the interfaces that I have active in my appliance), but in my virtual environment I have only 3 interfaces. I suppose that only Ifconfig shows me the right adapters. but how can I remap?

I read somewhere (https://community.sophos.com/products/unified-threat-management/astaroorg/f/51/t/19157) that Astaro counts licenses by how many IP addresses pass THROUGH the firewall. Is not true?
so I have thinked that all proxy users doesn't count as licence so I pay only for internal service and so 100 user licence..[8-)]

Each proxy user is counted, so you would have to purchase a 1000-user license.

ops... so I think I quit virtual installation and I'll think to Active-Active Cluster..

Paolo, depending on the load, two 320s might not be enough, especially if you expect any growth.  You really should get a recommendation from your reseller.  If you don't have one, then try going on the Italian forum to ask for recommendations, and try looking here: Locate a Partner
