Equipment setup

According to user starter kit diagram, the Astaro server is connected to the switch. I do not have switch but I have wireless router with 4 x RJ45 ports, does Astaro software work? And I need only one NIC, am I correct?[:)]

Hi,
welcome to ASG world.

You need a minimum of 2 NICs. 1 external interface and 1 internal interface.

If you have been able to install the ASg software I suggest you download and read the included manual, otherwise download it from the Astaro Internet Security - Simplifying Network, Mail & Web Security where you setup your home user licence.

The ASG does not support wireless, but you can disable the DHCP function in your wireless box and use the ASG. Plug the ASG into one LAN ports on your wireless switch.
