Cannot restore my settings after a new installation

I reinstalled the Astaro software and tried to restore my settings from my backup file but it will not accept the file. Please help

    Can you provide more detail?  What do you see?  Are you rebooting with the backup on a USB memory stick?

    If you have a backup from 7.504, you can't restore it to 7.502.

    I reinstalled  the Astaro software from CD and then tried to use the settings from my created backup file, but it will not accept it. I am up to date to 7.504 and when I try to
    load any of my previous backup files it created which I store on my PC, it does not load them.

    How are you trying to use the backup file?  What do you see that indicates it is not accepted?  Are these files encrypted?
