Happy Easter to you all [:)]
I am stranded at home in a rainy day with no Internet except over UMTS!
I upgraded my DSL connection provided by T-com from 16 (ADSL) to 25 (VDSL), they sent me a new router as usual, since it is part of the contract, the router SpeedPort 721, as expected, went dead after few reboots, I found out from the Internet that this is a permanent problem with this piece of hardware so I decided to buy a new VDSL modem and then use Linksys WRT320N as my WLAN router N; the new VDSL modem (as well as DSL splitter) is Allnet ALL126AS2 slave modem, which as per the company's website should handle the connection from T-com up to 100 mb/s, although the link LED is steady green and the firmware is up to date, my user name and password are correct, I fail to connect to the Internet (even through direct connection to the allnet via Ethernet cable, not over the wireless, hence Linksys is out of the game here) [:O]
The line status is shown as up, it detects my internet speed for downstream and upstream correctly, but I cannot get an IP and it shows that cable is disconnected [:S]
When I cancel the dynamic IP, then the modem takes the factory IP 192.168.16.250, with 10.112.112.112 gateway and no DNS (0.0.0.0), shows cable as connected, but still no connection is possible to the Internet!
What should I do to make this thing work [:S]
Setup:
|=| Phone Port......(Phone working fine; as well as the fax)
|
|=| Ethernet Port....(Laptop, cannot connect to the Internet)
|
|
ALL126AS2 ==|=| Ethernet Port == Linksys WRT320N ==Wireless== (Same!)
Would appreciate any help here...
