Initial install with 7.502

Are there any potential security risk by doing the initial install of Astaro ASG with 7.502, connecting it to internet and download the latest Up2data packages? As far as I can tell the updates to version 7.503 and 7.504 does not contain any critical security updates.

Virtually all of the security issues are addressed by the pattern updates. There were some issues fixed in 7.504 that prevented some people with 7.502 from functionning. None of my clients had these problems, so you won't necessarily have them.

Good! So in other words, no need for a reinstall even though I had a 7.502 exposed on the internet before upgrading to 7.504

Well, short of having a packet filter rule like 'Any -> Any -> Any : Allow', or having "Any" everywhere in 'Shell Access' or 'Webadmin' 'Access Control', it seems reasonable to assume that you're safe in that conclusion.

Hi Andy, I don't think Astaro has EVER had any remote root exploits.
