adding NIC for DMZ

Hi

I've installed ASG on a computer that currently holds 2 NICs, one for the LAN and one for the WAN. I now have to setup a DMZ and therefore my intention was to ass a 3.rd NIC that will be used for my DMZ network. Are there any special considerations that I must think about, or is it as simple as shut down the server, install the new NIC, boot up, add the NIC in ASG and configure the firewall rules? The existing rules will not by affected by adding the new NIC?

  • Andy, I think the only issue is that the Astaro installation process only loads drivers for the devices present.  I added a NIC to our in-house Astaro that was identical to one already installed, and I've had no trouble using it.
